UI/UX Designer - Technolutions Slate
Job Description
The Panther Group Inc invites applications for a remote, part-time contract UI/UX Designer to redesign a graduate admissions portal within the Technolutions Slate CRM for a private university. Location: Boston, MA (remote). Hourly rate: USD 78.
Responsibilities
- Lead the UX and visual design efforts from discovery through final implementation within the Slate environment.
- Perform research and requirements gathering to inform design decisions.
- Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
- Craft a modern, intuitive Slate portal experience that aligns with brand standards.
- Create reusable, modular content components for use across multiple departments.
- Produce production-ready HTML/CSS solutions within the Slate platform.
- Ensure designs are responsive, mobile-friendly, and WCAG-compliant.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect feedback and iterate on designs.
- Deliver documented, production-ready assets and configurations for deployment.
- Support HTML email template redesign efforts as the project scope permits.
Requirements
- Demonstrated UI/UX design experience with a strong professional portfolio.
- Advanced proficiency in HTML5 and CSS.
- Experience designing within CRM, portal, or web application environments.
- Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design methodologies and usability best practices.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, design systems, and component libraries.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles.
- Excellent visual design skills across typography, layout, and branding.
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables within established timelines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

About the Project
In collaboration with the client’s design and marketing teams, you will lead the redesign of a graduate admissions portal inside Slate CRM. The effort focuses on delivering a modern, accessible, and visually engaging user experience, along with a scalable library of modular content components that can be customized across multiple academic programs. Optional scope includes redesigning HTML email templates within Slate's email delivery system.
