UI/UX Designer

Golden Section Technology is hiring a UI/UX Designer for a fully remote contract role based in Houston, TX. This position blends product-focused design with modern AI-driven workflow acceleration, helping you move quickly from ideas to high-fidelity prototypes while keeping usability and accessibility front and center. The focus is on speed with intention: rapid exploration, clear navigation, and designs that are built effectively with product and engineering partners.

Responsibilities

• Use AI design tools such as Figma AI features, Uizard, or similar solutions to accelerate wireframes, layouts, and interactive prototypes.
• Maintain a strong speed to delivery by leveraging generative tooling to explore multiple design directions before selecting the most effective approach.
• Organize content and workflows to support logical, intuitive user navigation.
• Create user personas and journey maps, using data-driven AI insights to validate user behavior.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and remain aligned with project objectives.
• Improve usability and accessibility across web and mobile, ensuring that fast iteration does not compromise quality.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of UI/UX design experience for web and mobile applications.
• Proven experience using AI-powered design tools to automate repetitive tasks, generate assets, or speed up wireframing.
• Expert proficiency in Figma, with experience using AI plugins and automated design system management preferred.
• Track record of meeting tight deadlines through workflow optimization and tool mastery.
• Strong understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and accessibility best practices.
• Portfolio examples of high-quality work, specifically highlighting how you optimized your design process for both speed and scale.
