UI/UX Design Engineer III
Job Description
UI/UX Design Engineer III onsite in Las Vegas, NV, with a salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, collaborates on front-end UI development, code maintenance, mentoring, and cross-functional work with QA, software design, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Author, test, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain the source code of computer programs.
- Research, design, and develop system software in conjunction with the SYNKROS Casino Management System and related product development.
- UI programming and development of documentation.
- Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
- Leverage HTML, CSS, and FIGMA to code new and enhanced UI features; analyze objectives and problems defined by engineers and designers.
- Assist management with code reviews.
- Mentor and oversee junior developers on functional development, KGI coding practices, and company policies.
- Support system related project management enhancements as needed.
- Coordinate test scripts, documentation, and deployment schedules with QA, Training, and Documentation teams.
- Address challenging technical tasks and tight deadlines.
- Determine or coordinate purchasing requirements for programs or enhancements.
- Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance.
- Coordinate installation plans for system software and firmware.
- Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, and status.
- Confer with data processing and project managers to obtain information on limitations and capabilities for data processing projects.
- Report discrepancies, changes, recommendations, and problems to senior management.
- Possess knowledge of the Information Technology industry, its systems, platforms, tools, and technologies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of GUI design and development.
- Build and maintain solid customer relations and solicit feedback.
- Contact customers as necessary to obtain feedback on the stability and reliability of systems software.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose client issues and resolve them efficiently and timely.
- Performed other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BSEE or BSCE from a four-year college or university (Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years or more experience as a website software designer with HTML / CSS front-end coding.
- Three or more years’ experience in graphical user interface (GUI) design development.
- Strong knowledge of software design systems.
- Casino Gaming or Lottery System experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, both verbal and written, with all levels of the business.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Gaming licensure(s).
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, front-end development including HTML/CSS and UI design.
- GUI programming skills and experience required.
- Casino Gaming, Lottery Systems or RDBMS experience is a plus.
- Ability to obtain licensing, gaming card, or other certifications required by gaming regulations or jurisdictions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Work Environment
- Full-time, 40+ hours per week. Overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
- Physically capable of working in a space-limited area for long hours, seated at a computer terminal, with extended periods of keyboard and mouse use.
- Must work at the assigned location to enable direct communication with team members, management, and others, unless traveling for business purposes.
