Social Media & Graphic Design Assistant

The Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts is seeking a full-time assistant to support social media growth and graphic/photo content creation in an onsite role in Mandeville, LA.

Responsibilities

• Build a social media audience across various channels
• Write compelling ad copy to support marketing efforts
• Create graphic and photo content for marketing and creative initiatives
• Shoot and edit professional-quality photos (DSLR camera experience preferred)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Art, or Graphic Design (or equivalent professional experience)
• Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats
• Passion for creativity, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Empathy and a unique ability to understand customer needs
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including In-Design, Photoshop, and Canva
• Basic familiarity with WordPress for blog posting
• Experience shooting and editing professional-quality photos (DSLR camera experience preferred)
• Experience writing compelling ad copy
• Ability to build a social media audience across various channels

Hours

• 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Weekends on occasion for major productions
