Senior Product Designer, Platform
Job Description
Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Product Designer, Platform to own end-to-end design across platform investments, collaborating with engineering, product management, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the full user experience for platform and related investments, balancing near-term experiments with long-term strategy and vision.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product management to integrate design through iterative prototyping and hands-on guidance.
- Define high impact product experiences, from problem framing and discovery to specifying requirements, shaping workflows, and delivering high fidelity designs.
- Engage with end users and lead workshops with stakeholders to align on user needs, brainstorm ideas, and define concepts or experiments.
- Communicate design rationale clearly with strong narratives, journey maps, user workflows, polished mockups, and well-structured documentation.
- Mentor design peers, contribute to critiques, promote knowledge sharing, and foster productive cross-functional collaboration.
- Collaborate with the design systems team to evolve the platform through edge contributions and cross-functional alignment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, UX, or human-computer interaction, with a proven ability to deliver craft-grade, technically informed solutions.
- Deep expertise in visual and interaction design, capable of producing elegant solutions for complex workflows.
- Systems thinking mindset with the ability to map workflows across multiple user types and contexts of use.
- Strong prototyping skills to drive clarity in decision-making.
- Ability to articulate the rationale behind design decisions and navigate complex stakeholder requirements across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Portfolio that demonstrates meticulous craft and attention to interaction detail.
- No prior defense experience required; welcomes diverse perspectives to hard problems.
