Senior Product Designer

Design end-to-end experiences that help manufacturing teams move faster and with greater confidence. Anduril Industries is hiring a Senior Product Designer for Forge, working within ProductionOS / ArsenalOS to improve immersion, efficiency, and consistency across critical onsite workflows.

This role combines product/design strategy with hands-on execution, from discovery through implementation. You will help shape the direction of Forge user experiences and build a design system that supports scalable, cross-platform UI for mobile, tablet, and desktop use in real production environments.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to roadmap shaping and decision-making for product and design strategy.
• Own design execution end-to-end, including discovery, ideation, prototyping, testing, and implementation.
• Use storytelling to align stakeholders and carry ideas through the design process.
• Influence end-to-end experiences for manufacturing and onsite workflows.
• Balance short-term tactical design efforts with meaningful progress toward long-term design system goals.
• Collaborate with the central Product Design team to identify opportunities for shared best practices and learnings.
• Create scalable components for mobile, tablet, and desktop, accounting for the physical conditions of manufacturing floors and high-rate production settings.
• Develop and mature the design system with reusable components that improve consistency and efficiency across platforms.
• Evangelize design decisions by creating design tenets that evolve into strategic design work.
• Conduct on-site research using the Gemba philosophy by visiting shop floors and work stations to observe firsthand user needs and environments.

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years of software design experience.
• High attention to detail and mastery of visual and interaction design craft.
• An online portfolio demonstrating multimodal experiences.
• Ability to clearly articulate the why, process, and impact of your work.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• No prior defense experience necessary.
• Strong visual design skills and experience with interaction design, including micro-interactions and animations.
• Proficiency in creating scalable components for various devices and environments.
• Experience developing and implementing design systems.
• Comfort with on-site research and understanding manufacturing and production environments.

Forge is the flagship, home-grown software platform enabling the receipt, manufacturing, deployment, and maintenance of Anduril hardware across the globe. As Forge grows, this role supports Anduril’s mission by elevating immersion, efficiency, and consistency across Forge user experiences.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with hardware-related industries such as supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics.
• Advanced knowledge of visual design principles, including layout, color theory, typography, and Gestalt principles.
• Experience using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and their application in design.

Location: Costa Mesa, CA (onsite)

Salary range: USD 167,000 - 222,000 per year. Salary estimate is based on base salary only; actual offer may vary based on experience, education/training, critical skills, and business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and considered part of Anduril’s total compensation package.
