Job Description

Discord’s Developer Platform team is hiring a Product Designer for Player Experiences to help shape player-facing features that come to life through studio integrations. This role focuses on the surfaces players use every day, spanning in-game overlays, the Discord client, and Discord mobile, with end-to-end ownership from early exploration through launch and post-launch iteration.

What you’ll work on

Work inside the Player Experience squad and collaborate with a staff designer, engineers, product managers, and data scientists to design the player-facing side of studio integrations.
Design player-facing experiences such as friend invites, game presence, and shareable game moments, accounting for developer configuration so the experience remains strong across games and platforms.
Use visual, UX, and interaction design skills to solve for constraints across desktop and mobile, aiming for feature parity and consistent quality.
Regularly playtest your designs and iterate using feedback from players, peers, and leadership to reach production-ready outcomes.
Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation and interactive prototypes as decisions evolve, enabling engineering and product partners to build with confidence.
Share work early and often through critiques and team reviews, and communicate user-centered and business rationale in settings such as design reviews, project-team meetings, and leadership discussions.

What we’re looking for

2+ years designing and shipping a web/app product for a variety of devices and platforms.
Experience designing consumer-facing mobile features (not only responsive web), with familiarity with iOS/Android conventions and constraints.
An ownership mindset with a bias toward action to move projects and decisions forward.
A high craft bar across UX, visual design, interaction design, and prototyping, including proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools to demonstrate interactions and flows.
Ability to explain complex problems and experiences clearly, knowing when to use tools such as a journey, wireframe, deck, prototype, or design specification.
Experience working within a design system, including contributing back to it.
Experience designing for mature products, both against a vision and through incremental improvements.

Bonus points

Experience designing mobile-first experiences.
Casual or committed gamer experience on mobile and PC.

Job Description

Dirac seeks an early Product Designer to shape how BuildOS works and feels for manufacturing engineering, from research through release.

Responsibilities

Design across the BuildOS suite, including 3D CAD interaction, structured data authoring, document generation, and shop floor workflows.
Establish the patterns, primitives, and interactions that make complex workflows feel like a single coherent product.
Study the spreadsheets, internal tools, and manual processes users rely on today, then design replacements that are faster, more complete, and more trustworthy.
Build fluency in manufacturing workflows, including BOMs, BOPs, work instructions, GD&T, PMI, revision control, work centers, and takt time.
Work with manufacturing engineers, operators, and customers, including time spent on factory floors.
Help establish Dirac’s design language, design system, and product standards as BuildOS grows.
Partner with Product and Engineering from early exploration through implementation and release.
Contribute beyond traditional product design through user research, prototyping, frontend development, and product polish.

Requirements

5+ years of product design experience, ideally in complex B2B, technical, or professional software.
High technical acumen with experience designing complex systems, workflows, and information-heavy interfaces.
Strong interaction and visual design skills, from early concepts and prototypes through polished production-ready design.
Ability to own projects end-to-end: research, problem definition, design, implementation, and release.
Strong product judgment to balance user needs, technical constraints, business priorities, and speed.
High attention to detail with a strong bar for craft, usability, and visual quality.
Self-direction and independent prioritization, thriving in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
Use qualitative and quantitative insights to guide design decisions.
Familiarity with user research, usability testing, and prototyping.
Clear communication of design decisions and rationale across Product and Engineering.
Bias toward shipping and iteration over perfection.
Curiosity about how physical things get made; manufacturing experience is not required, but manufacturing expertise is a goal.

Product Designer

Parallel Web Systems San Francisco Bay Area, CA

San Francisco Bay Area, CA

2mo ago Closed

$200k - $280k/yr Full time Design Design Systems Designer

This position is no longer accepting applications (closed Sep 4, 2026).

Job Description

Parallel Web Systems is seeking a Product Designer to own end-to-end design for a developer-facing product. The role focuses on redesigning the playground, improving API architecture and navigation, and creating scalable design systems across multiple surfaces, with close partnership across engineering and product from the beginning.

Role Overview

You will take responsibility for the full design lifecycle, from early exploration through production implementation. The work includes reimagining key user flows, increasing coherence across the product’s information architecture, and building scalable systems that support consistent experiences as the product grows.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design of Parallel’s developer-facing product.
Reimagine the playground.
Bring coherence to API architecture and navigation.
Build the systems that scale across surfaces.
Shape what gets built alongside engineering and product from the start, rather than after scoping is complete.

Requirements

Have shipped developer-facing product and understand what determines whether a developer’s first hour with a new tool succeeds or fails.
Maintain high visual craft while protecting functional outcomes, with portfolio evidence covering end-to-end ownership from exploration through production.
Think in systems, provide strong pushback when the reasoning is sound, and move quickly without unnecessary attachment to ideas.
Open PRs as part of the workflow, with frontend comfort considered a real advantage.
Do not treat the boundary between design and engineering as someone else’s responsibility.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary: USD 200,000 - 280,000 per year
Generous equity
Visa sponsorships
401K plans
Daily lunch & office snacks
Dinner at the office
Unlimited vacation
Caltrain pass reimbursement

Life at Parallel

The team works fully in-person across Palo Alto HQ and a San Francisco office. Parallel describes itself as a flat, talent-dense organization focused on solving technical and creative problems.

Values

Own customer impact: Ensure real-world outcomes for customers.
Obsess over craft: Perfect details because quality compounds.
Accelerate change: Ship fast, adapt faster, and move frontier ideas into production.
Create win-wins: Turn trade-offs into upside creatively.
Make high-conviction bets: Try and fail, but succeed an unfair amount.
