Senior Product Designer, Bumble Date

Join Bumble Inc as a Senior Product Designer for Bumble Date, based on-site in New York, NY. You will lead end-to-end design across significant Date product areas, collaborating with cross-functional partners to shape user journeys, contribute to a scalable design system, and apply AI thoughtfully to elevate experiences. Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design for one or more major Bumble Date product areas, guiding work from discovery and problem framing through interaction design, visual execution, prototyping, testing, and launch.
• Shape intuitive user journeys and interaction models rooted in research, behavioral insight, and a deep understanding of what Bumble members need, expect, and value.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, User Researchers, Engineers, Data Partners, and Content Designers to identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and iterate based on qualitative and quantitative evidence.
• Deliver thoughtful visual and interaction design that clarifies complex problems, balancing overall experience architecture with the fine details that make products feel effortless.
• Contribute to Bumble's design system by championing scalable patterns, accessibility, consistency, and inclusive design across the ecosystem.
• Apply AI-powered tools responsibly to accelerate exploration, improve accessibility, streamline workflows, and support more personalized experiences, while exercising sound judgment and ethics.
• Actively participate in design critiques, share feedback with clarity and care, and help foster a collaborative culture focused on curiosity and exceptional craft.
• Model Bumble's core competencies by collaborating with purpose, owning outcomes, remaining adaptable, and delivering impact from insight to execution, aligned with Courage, Respect, and Joy.

Requirements

• Proven end-to-end product design experience with a track record of delivering thoughtful, high-quality mobile product experiences from ambiguity to launch.
• Strong product thinking, framing problems before solutions, linking design decisions to user and business outcomes, and thinking in systems as well as individual screens.
• Exceptional visual design, interaction design, and prototyping craft, producing polished work grounded in human-centered design.
• Rigor in the design process, combining research, experimentation, prototyping, and iteration to tackle complex product challenges with clarity.
• Ability to balance user empathy with commercial pragmatism, advocating for ideal experiences when appropriate and making deliberate trade-offs for impact.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, used to explore, validate, and refine solutions.
• Strong understanding of inclusive design, accessibility standards, and designing for diverse global audiences.
• Curiosity about AI's role in product design and comfort using AI-enabled tools to improve workflows, while applying ethical, human-centered judgment.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration, clear communication, ownership of outcomes, and constructive feedback that raises overall quality.
• Typically 5–8 years of experience, with openness to candidates from alternative backgrounds who demonstrate equivalent skills.
