Senior Product Designer

Sotheby’s is looking for a Senior Product Designer to shape digital experiences across customer-facing applications and operational tools. This onsite role in New York, NY brings product design into both the art and luxury ecosystem, balancing discovery and UX work with hands-on UI craft and system support.

What you’ll be doing

In this position, you will lead design efforts for product features that span client experiences and staff workflows. You will work in close partnership with PMs, engineers, and cross-functional partners to move ideas into usable, high-quality experiences.

• Drive design for features across customer-facing application experiences and internal workflows.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering partners to align on outcomes and implementation.
• Run user interviews, map workflows, and define information architecture for complex systems.
• Develop user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI.
• Support design QA to help ensure quality execution.
• Use and contribute to the design system.
• Share feedback with peers and help raise overall UX practices across the team.

What you bring

• 7–10+ years of product/UX/UI design experience.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates work across both consumer-facing and operational/enterprise experiences.
• Proficiency in Figma or similar modern design tools.
• Systems thinking and the ability to simplify complex workflows.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Responsive design experience; mobile experience is a plus.
• Background in e-commerce, logistics, or service workflows is advantageous.

Compensation and benefits

Salary: USD 140,000–150,000 per year.
