Senior Product Designer
Job Description
Chewy is hiring a Senior Product Designer to shape digital experiences across its ecosystem from early discovery through launch.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer insights, business goals, and technical requirements into user-centered product experiences
- Craft solutions that balance usability, scalability, and business impact
- Create interaction patterns that simplify complex workflows and improve user delight
- Drive design work across the full product design lifecycle: discovery and research, wireframes, prototypes, visual design, testing, and implementation
- Iterate designs using user feedback, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration
- Advocate for customer needs while balancing business objectives and technical constraints
- Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Content Design to define product strategy and deliver strong experiences
- Facilitate design discussions and communicate decisions clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- Build alignment using clear storytelling and design rationale
- Champion high-quality craft across interaction design, visual design, accessibility, and usability
- Contribute to and evolve design systems, patterns, and best practices
- Support a collaborative design culture through knowledge sharing, feedback, and continuous improvement in how teams work
- Apply systems-thinking to improve the broader customer journey across products and touchpoints
- Surface opportunities to enhance experiences beyond the immediate project scope
- Balance long-term vision with iterative delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, or a related discipline
- Experience leading complex product design initiatives from concept through implementation
- Track record designing digital products for web and/or mobile platforms
- Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design thinking, customer-centered problem solving, and measurable business impact
- Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, and visual communication
- Experience using design systems and contributing to scalable design patterns
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders
- Ability to work through ambiguity and facilitate collaborative decision-making
- Strong storytelling skills that communicate design rationale and customer insights clearly
- Passion for understanding users through research, data, and continuous learning
- Capability to simplify complex problems into intuitive, accessible experiences
- Experience balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Salary Information
- The base salary range: $149,000 - $225,000.00 per year
- Factors influencing specific salary: relevant experience, education, and work location
Location: Bellevue, WA (onsite)
