Senior Product Designer
Job Description
Join Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) and help shape technology that improves the customer experience. In this onsite White Plains, NY role, you will lead product design work that turns research and collaboration into production-ready UI. You’ll also contribute to a design system, help define styling guidelines aligned with VEG’s brand identity, and test AI design tools to streamline the design process.
What you’ll do
- Lead user research for the product, including interviews and focus groups as needed
- Observe users in their working environment to understand how they interact with the software application and identify opportunities for improvement
- Create low to high fidelity mockups, build prototypes for proposed solutions, and coordinate user testing sessions with hospital employees and customers to validate ideas
- Participate in implementation kick off meetings so stakeholders, developers, and testers understand, implement, and verify the intended user experience
- Provide written guidance for software engineers describing expected behavior and UI design
- Perform UI reviews of completed development work to help ensure new features are production ready
- Collaborate with brand, marketing, and other designers to develop a design system and styling guidelines that represent VEG’s brand identity across products
- Test and vet new AI design tools to help streamline design processes
- Build interactive prototypes for solution validation
What you bring
- 5-10 years of experience in UX/UI product design, working on both browser-based and native mobile applications
- Creative, detail-oriented approach to solving problems
- Strong communication skills, including experience presenting research findings
- Value efficiency through design systems aligned with frontend frameworks
- Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, GitHub, and Pendo
- Experience with AI design tools such as Stitch, Claude Design, or Figma Make

Compensation and benefits
- Competitive compensation: $150,000 - $190,000 base salary + bonus + benefits
