Senior Product Designer

This on-site Senior Product Designer role in San Jose offers a salary range of USD 121,600 to 220,400 per year and invites professionals with at least five years of design experience to contribute to internal tools and platforms used by TikTok’s global workforce. You will work across design, product, and marketing teams to shape end-to-end solutions that improve productivity and outcomes for employees worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete design lifecycle of internal tools and platforms that enable TikTok's global staff to work efficiently and effectively.
• Guide a product from identifying the core user challenge to delivering a well-tested, pixel-perfect UI.
• Immerse yourself in the problem space first, aligning with user goals and context before designing solutions.
• Develop early prototypes to validate concepts and build confidence in the direction.
• Produce high-fidelity UI and UX specifications that clearly communicate requirements to engineers.
• Contribute to high-level strategic decisions alongside the product team.
• Share design thinking across other platform areas such as Research, Marketing, product education, and customer success.
• Mentor junior and mid-level designers, offering guidance and support.

Requirements

• Experience designing and shipping end-to-end products in technical domains with complex flows, multiple scenarios, and edge cases.
• Proven ability to empathize with professional users including Sales, Data Scientists, and Client Success Engineers, and to develop appropriate solutions.
• Ability to present design variations and justify design choices clearly.
• Strong skills in organizing thoughts and communicating motivations to diverse audiences.
• A keen eye for visual UI details and a commitment to polished presentation.
