Product Designer, Cloud Platforms
Job Description
SprintRay is hiring a Contract Product Designer for its Cloud Platforms team in Los Angeles, CA (onsite). This role owns end-to-end design across the Cloud product suite, shaping workflows from initial, loosely defined inputs into clear, high-craft interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design for the Cloud product suite, including discovery, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and the specifications engineering builds from.
- Translate loose requirements gathered from in-person conversations, messages, emails, and feedback sessions into a design brief and then into executable designs, often making the problem legible along the way.
- Design simple, polished experiences for data-dense systems while maintaining full functionality across patient management, CAM, treatment ordering, work tracking, and related workflows.
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering throughout the build, including handling edge cases and navigating tradeoffs associated with tech debt while protecting design quality.
- Contribute to and advance the design system, balancing high-craft UI polish with practical UX needs.
- Lead lightweight research with real customers, including practice staff, lab managers, and internal teams who interact with them daily.
Requirements
- 5+ years designing shipped software, with meaningful experience in B2B, enterprise, and/or medical products, including SaaS, internal tools, admin platforms, or workflow-heavy systems.
- A portfolio demonstrating how you reason through complex systems, not only surface-level visual polish.
- Strong interaction design fundamentals paired with exceptional visual execution in Figma, with the ability to think deeply through workflows.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and thin briefs, including asking strong questions, documenting key decisions, and moving forward without waiting for fully formed specifications.
- Clear written and verbal communication with PMs and engineers, including with team members who may communicate differently than you do.
- Ability to work from the HQ near Atwater Village 3–4 days per week (90065).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, dental, medical devices, or the 3D space.
- Experience designing software that interfaces with hardware, or with fleet, device, or IoT management.
- Experience contributing to or owning a design system.
- Prototyping beyond click-throughs, using Figma, code, and/or AI tools.
- Experience designing AI-assisted features inside a workflow product.
