Job Description
Salesforce is seeking a Lead Product Designer to help shape a next-generation design system within the Design Systems team, with an emphasis on evolving an AI-first system across Salesforce products. This role combines systems thinking, visual design craft, and hands-on collaboration with research, engineering, and product partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of a next-gen design system, including tools and AI products that scale across Salesforce
- Contribute high-quality design system knowledge that is readable by both humans and machines
- Define and document design guidelines, best practices, and standards to support consistent, cohesive user experiences
- Evolve the visual language and improve ease of use of Salesforce UI/UX
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, writers, and engineers to embed the design system into product development workflows
- Partner with UX researchers to validate design decisions through user testing and feedback loops
- Mentor and coach junior designers to support a culture of design excellence and collaboration
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity within the design system so all users can have a seamless experience
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design systems
Required Qualifications
- Systems designer with knowledge of leveraging and training AI to create quality experiences
- Comfortable working across code and Figma, with a background spanning product design and design engineering
- Expert visual design skills with a strong focus on detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer with a focus on design systems and UX/UI design
- Portfolio demonstrating a strong foundation in design systems, visual design, interaction design, and AI patterns/capabilities
