Product Designer

Cerity Partners is building applied AI experiences for wealth intelligence, and the Innovation team is looking for a founding Product Designer to help shape how the product experience works end-to-end. This onsite role in New York, NY gives you significant autonomy to define foundational design standards while shipping both 0-to-1 and scaled products. If you enjoy collaborating across clients, advisors, and colleagues and turning ambiguous problems into real workflows, you will have the space to create lasting impact.

What you’ll own

• End-to-end user journeys aligned to user needs and business goals, not siloed deliverables.
• 0-to-1 and post-launch scaling, building early experiences and improving them after launch.
• High-value opportunities by partnering with clients, advisors, and colleagues, including mapping workflows, testing prototypes, and advocating for the best experience.
• Foundational product strategy and UX that influences the product, client experience, advisor experience, and colleague experience.
• Cutting-edge applied AI design across the AI stack, including harness, context, memory, evals, agents, and models, both for wealth management and for how teams collaborate.
• Design standards from a blank slate, setting design direction, prototyping and shipping to test hypotheses, defining how design works with engineering and product, and creating visual and interaction models.

What you bring

• Minimum 7 years of product design experience.
• Financial services experience required, with an understanding of wealth management, investment advisory, or related operations.
• Demonstrated experience in AI tooling and workflows, including models, harnesses, and related processes.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity while building 0-to-1 from first principles.
• Expertise with tools such as Figma, Claude Code, Codex, or similar.
• Comfort with code to support a redefined product-engineering-design collaboration process. You are not expected to write code, though it’s a plus, and understanding handoff into AI-native implementation is important.

Compensation

$177,000 - $260,000 per year (salary + bonus).
