Job Description

Fabric Health offers a collaboration-forward design environment where you partner with product, engineering, and clinical teams to turn complex healthcare workflows into intuitive experiences. This hybrid role in New York, NY places you at the center of shaping the D2C member journey, with a salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited PTO, a 401(k) plan, stock options, and performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of core areas of the D2C member experience, including the marketing site, signup and onboarding flows, the member portal, and in-product experiences.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and clinical SMEs to translate complex care workflows into intuitive user experiences.
  • Conduct targeted user research and bring evidence to design decisions.
  • Build and maintain scalable design components and patterns across the member journey.
  • Run design reviews and exchange feedback to strengthen the work.
  • Partner with brand and marketing to express Fabric's consumer presence across acquisition channels.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of product design experience with shipped consumer-facing work.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design: flows, components, interactions, and visual quality.
  • Hands-on experience contributing to a design system, building and maintaining components, documenting patterns, and thinking about scale.
  • Mastery of Figma and modern design tooling, including AI-powered features.
  • Comfort using AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar to accelerate prototyping, drafting, and workflow.
  • Strong communicator who can present work to engineers, PMs, and executives.
  • Ability to conduct user research independently (interviews, usability tests, and concept validation) and use findings to drive design decisions.

WHY YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT

  • You have 3-6 years of product design experience with shipped consumer-facing work.
  • You bring strong product thinking and ensure designs work effectively, not just look right.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can move from problem to wireframe to prototype to ship.
  • You are curious about healthcare and eager to learn the domain deeply.
  • You demonstrate strong craft in Figma with a portfolio showing breadth across flows and visual quality.
  • You use AI tools as part of your design process, whether Figma Make, Claude, or other tools that accelerate work.
  • You can present work to engineers, PMs, and executives and tailor communication to the audience.

THIS MIGHT NOT BE THE RIGHT FIT IF...

  • You are a pure visual or pure brand designer; this role requires product design depth.
  • You need a tightly scoped brief; you will be defining problems, not just executing on them.
  • You have 7+ years of experience; this level would be miscast for this role and compensation.
  • You are seeking a senior-only seat with no IC craft expectations.
