Junior UI/UX Designer

Nerdio is building a growing product team and is hiring a detail-oriented Junior UI/UX Designer to create intuitive, user-centered experiences. This role is remote only, with the flexibility to manage your own work hours, plus compensation that includes a competitive base, an incentive plan, and stock options.

You’ll work closely with product managers, developers, and designers to support and evolve design systems while helping craft UI components, prototypes, and visual concepts. The team also uses AI-assisted design tools and emerging technologies to speed up exploration and improve the quality of mockups and prototypes.

What you’ll do

• Assist in designing user interfaces and experiences
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other designers to maintain and evolve design systems
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
• Support accessibility and usability practices in day-to-day design work
• Improve designs and systems based on internal and external feedback
• Participate in user research, testing, and feedback sessions
• Leverage AI-assisted design tools to enhance mockups, prototypes, and visual concepts
• Create and maintain UI component libraries

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design or a related field
• Understanding of user-centered design principles
• Experience in UI/UX design for B2B SaaS web applications
• Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Claude Design and Figma Make
• Strong portfolio showcasing complex and innovative design solutions
• Strong attention to detail and visual consistency
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
• Ability to listen to feedback and iterate on designs

Remote work and travel

• This position is remote work only
• Occasional travel to conferences or meetings is expected
• You will manage your own work hours, with some work outside local business hours in your region expected

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 per year, with target compensation closer to the middle. The total compensation package includes a bonus and stock options.
