Job Description

Adobe’s Bridgeway team is building AI-native marketing experiences for small businesses and solopreneurs, and it needs an AI Product Designer who can move quickly from idea to production-ready reality. This role blends product thinking, design craft, and hands-on engineering so what gets evaluated is close to what ultimately ships, with systems that help quality compound over time.

Role and context

Bridgeway is Adobe’s agentic marketing partner for small businesses and solopreneurs. In this position, you’ll design and engineer end-to-end experiences for solo business owners, including rapid prototyping using AI tools without sacrificing quality, and evolving the design system that powers the product.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product and engineering to prototype, build, and ship experiences that make Bridgeway feel like a partner.
  • Own a design surface end to end, covering concept, prototype, production code, and the system it plugs into.
  • Turn a single problem into several distinct, high-fidelity prototypes so the team can compare real options.
  • Build production-quality UI components and interactions in code to keep evaluation aligned with shipping.
  • Use first-principles thinking grounded in users: solo business owners with 90 seconds to spare.
  • Champion simplicity by cutting, collapsing, and clarifying so the experience feels effortless for non-designers and non-technologists.
  • Bridge design and engineering by translating concepts into real code and shaping feasibility from the start.
  • Evolve Bridgeway’s design system so the team ships faster and quality compounds instead of resetting screen-by-screen.
  • Prototype in hours using AI tools, while maintaining a high bar for quality.
  • Operate AI tools like instruments, running fast prototyping loops, rapid evaluation, and continuous refinement.

Requirements

  • Builders who have shipped: you’ve launched something real and are proud of the outcome.
  • Taste and judgment to orchestrate AI-assisted prototyping at speed while holding a quality bar many teams miss.
  • The ability to identify what good looks like before it exists, including spotting the best directions from dozens of AI-generated options.
  • Clear understanding of what to build based on the user context: a solo business owner with 90 seconds to spare.
  • Comfort working in Figma and a code editor, with an increasing tendency to start in the code editor first.
  • Strong front-end skills using React, TypeScript, CSS, and animation.
  • A strong sense of build quality, including craft, hierarchy, restraint, and the ability to explain why something works.
  • Willingness to explore multiple directions before converging, with a preference to show results rather than describe them.
  • A bias toward simplicity and designing for real people, focused on SMB owners rather than power users.
  • Systems thinking and the ability to build reusable components instead of one-off screens.
  • Real excitement about AI agents and new interaction paradigms, beyond using AI as a buzzword.
  • If interested in applying, provide links to projects you have completed.

Technologies

  • Figma
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • CSS

Expected pay range

  • U.S. range: $146,300 to $274,300 annually.
  • California range: $189,400 to $274,300 annually.

Interview AI use guidelines

  • The use of AI or recording tools during live interviews is not permitted unless explicitly invited by the interviewer or approved in advance as part of a reasonable accommodation.
  • If AI or recording tools are used inappropriately or misrepresent your work, your application may not move forward.
  • The hiring process provides clear guidance on where AI is encouraged and where it is restricted during live interviews.

Two things that matter most in this role: Systems (building a design system and prototyping workflow that compounds) and Review (judging quality at a very high bar, including spotting the two options worth building out of a wall of AI-generated directions).

Location: San Jose, CA (onsite).
