Visual Design Manager
Job Description
Accenture Song invites you to join as a Visual Design Manager in Oklahoma City, onsite, where you will steer visual design direction across client engagements, define a cohesive aesthetic language and design systems, and mentor teams while partnering with business development and accounts. This role offers the chance to influence brand and product experiences at scale, with a salary range of USD 87,400 to 266,300 per year.
Responsibilities
- Steer visual design direction on engagements from concept to delivery, ensuring design quality, cohesive aesthetics, and on‑time milestones.
- Translate abstract briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages.
- Set and defend a high standard of visual craft for brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences.
- Balance strategic vision with hands‑on work, guiding key design decisions while delivering strong outputs with the team.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, demonstrating how these tools augment creativity rather than replace it.
- Contribute as a leading creative voice in client discussions, articulating visual rationale and translating design decisions into strategic narratives.
- Document how AI influences workflows and quantify its impact on delivery quality and team performance to evolve the practice.
- Contribute to proposals and case studies, turning project learnings into thought leadership that highlights our visual design capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for deeper engagement with existing clients, partnering with account leads to shape a compelling point of view around brand, design systems, or experiences.
- Support and mentor team members in their day‑to‑day work, helping them grow their craft, confidence, and independent problem solving.
- Remain an active member of the Visual Design craft, sharing methods, references, and project outcomes to advance the discipline.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in visual design across multiple industries, brand types, platforms, and contexts.
- Proven track record leading visual design engagements end to end, from concept through production‑ready delivery.
- Experience directing brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a cohesive visual voice.
- Ability to produce and direct high‑fidelity visuals with meticulous attention to detail, including pixel‑perfect deliverables and developer‑ready specs.
- Experience directly managing or mentoring visual designers, helping contributors grow into more independent practitioners.
- Proven ability to work in agile, cross‑functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
- Delivery of high‑caliber visual design shipped at scale, addressing complex product or brand challenges and driving measurable impact.
- Strong user experience understanding; visuals should guide users intuitively while maintaining a coherent brand point of view.
- Experience building scalable design systems that ensure visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
- Experience embedding AI tools and workflows into visual design practices, from concepting to rapid iteration and modeling AI‑enabled workflows for teams.
- Hands‑on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design, plus motion and illustration tools or AI design tools. This is not a purely managerial role.
