Job Description

Visual Design Associate Manager shaping direction and craft within Accenture Song's Design & Digital Products practice, leading design output and mentoring teams while advancing AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and propel visual design direction on internal and client engagements from concept to delivery, ensuring quality, aesthetic cohesion, and timely milestones.
  • Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visuals while developing an original visual point of view.
  • Deliver high quality work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with strong craft and attention to detail.
  • Own your workstream end to end, make deliberate design decisions, and produce production-ready output with minimal redirection.
  • Actively integrate AI tools into your workflow to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, contributing to evolving AI-enabled practices.
  • Participate confidently in client and stakeholder conversations, clearly articulating design rationale and establishing yourself as a trusted creative voice.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of visual design experience across diverse industries, brand types, platforms, and visual contexts.
  • Two or more years contributing to visual design engagements end to end, from concepting and visual strategy to production-ready delivery.
  • Two or more years producing brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a developing strong visual voice.
  • Two or more years delivering high-fidelity visuals with pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specifications.
  • Two or more years mentoring junior designers and providing informal guidance to help others grow craft and creative confidence.
  • Two or more years working in agile, cross-functional teams with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Two or more years grounding your work in user experience principles that inform visual design and brand expression.
  • Two or more years contributing to scalable design systems that ensure visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
  • Two or more years comfort using AI tools in the design process, from concepting to rapid iteration, with openness to evolving workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting design rationale to clients and participating in creative discussions with stakeholders.

The Work

Client Delivery

  • Contribute to and shape the visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, cohesion, and on-schedule progress.
  • Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visual executions and cultivate an original visual point of view.
  • Deliver high-quality work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with craft and detail.
  • Stay hands-on and self-directed, owning your workstream and delivering production-ready output with minimal redirection.
  • Utilize AI tools in your workflow to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, contributing to AI-enabled practices.
  • Engage in client and stakeholder conversations, presenting design rationale and growing your presence as a trusted creative voice.

Business Development

  • Document how AI tools influence your workflow and contribute to the practice's evolving understanding of AI-enabled visual design.
  • Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that showcase capabilities.
  • Stay attuned to internal and client needs, flagging opportunities for expanded scope to your lead.

People & Practice Development

  • Mentor junior team members informally, sharing feedback, references, and ways of working to grow visual craft.
  • Participate in the Visual Design Craft community, contributing resources and discussions to support ongoing discipline development.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Interest or growing fluency in adjacent areas such as brand strategy, service design, content design, or self-directed skill expansion.
  • Experience contributing to practice-level initiatives like ways of working, craft assets, onboarding, or community forums.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in visual design or related field.
  • Experience in management consulting, a creative agency, or professional services environment.
  • Building an external presence through publishing POVs or participating in design community events.
