Visual Design Associate Manager

The Visual Design Associate Manager role at Accenture Song is based onsite in Redmond, WA. The position shapes visual design direction across engagements, develops design systems, leverages AI tools, and mentors junior designers. Salary range: USD 68,300 to 218,800 per year.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and shape the visual design direction on engagements from concept to delivery, ensuring quality, cohesive aesthetics, and adherence to timelines.
• Interpret briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights to create compelling visual executions, with the ability to defend an original visual point of view.
• Deliver high quality work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with strong craft and attention to detail.
• Maintain a hands-on, self-directed approach, owning your workstream and delivering production-ready output with minimal redirection.
• Actively incorporate AI tools into your workflow to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, while contributing to AI-enabled ways of working.
• Engage confidently in client and stakeholder conversations, presenting design rationale clearly and growing as a trusted creative voice.
• Document and share how AI tools impact workflow, contributing to the practice’s evolving understanding of AI-enabled visual design.
• Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that showcase visual design capabilities.
• Stay attuned to internal and client needs, flagging opportunities for deeper work or expanded scope to your lead.
• Mentor junior team members informally, offering feedback, references, and methods to help grow their visual craft.
• Be an active member of the Visual Design Craft community, contributing to shared resources, discussions, and ongoing discipline development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Visual Design across diverse industries, brand types, platforms, and contexts.
• Proven track record delivering visual design engagements end-to-end, from concepting and visual strategy through to production-ready delivery.
• Experience producing brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a strong and evolving visual voice.
• Ability to deliver high-fidelity visuals with pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specifications.
• Experience providing feedback and informal guidance to junior designers to help them develop craft and confidence.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists.
• Strong grounding in UX principles that inform visual decisions and express a coherent brand viewpoint.
• Experience contributing to scalable design systems ensuring visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
• Comfort using AI tools in visual design for concept generation, mood-boarding, rapid iteration, and openness to evolving AI-enabled workflows.
• Hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present design rationale and participate in creative discussions with stakeholders.
