Job Description
Responsibilities
- Shape and guide visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, cohesive aesthetics, and timely execution.
- Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visuals, and develop an original visual point of view when appropriate.
- Deliver high‑quality work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with strong craft and attention to detail.
- Own your workstream with hands‑on, self‑directed effort, making deliberate design decisions and producing production‑ready outputs with minimal redirection.
- Incorporate AI tools into your workflow to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, while contributing to the team’s evolving AI‑enabled practices.
- Engage in client and stakeholder conversations, clearly articulating design rationale and building your presence as a trusted creative voice.
- Document how AI tools change workflows and share insights to advance the practice’s understanding of AI‑enabled visual design.
- Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that showcase capabilities.
- Stay attuned to internal and client needs, flagging opportunities for deeper work or expanded scope to your lead.
- Mentor junior team members informally, offering feedback, references, and methods that help them grow their craft.
- Actively participate in the Visual Design Craft community, contributing resources and discussions to advance the discipline.
Requirements
- 5+ years of visual design experience across multiple industries, brand types, platforms, and contexts.
- At least 2 years contributing to visual design engagements end-to-end, from creative concepting and visual strategy through to production‑ready delivery.
- 2+ years creating brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a strong, developing visual voice.
- 2+ years delivering high‑fidelity visual work with pixel‑perfect deliverables and developer‑ready specifications.
- 2+ years offering feedback and informal guidance to junior designers to help them grow their craft and confidence.
- 2+ years collaborating in agile, cross‑functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists.
- 2+ years grounding in UX principles that inform visual decisions and support intuitive user experiences while expressing a coherent brand perspective.
- 2+ years contributing to scalable design systems that ensure visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
- 2+ years comfort using AI tools in visual design, from concepting to rapid iteration, with openness to evolving AI‑enabled workflows.
- 2+ years hands‑on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
- 2+ years of experience with communication skills and developing client presence; ability to present design rationale and contribute to creative discussions with stakeholders.

Who You Are
A Visual Design Associate Manager who combines strong conceptual thinking with high craft standards. You contribute meaningfully to the program's discipline tracks, phases, and visual design direction on engagements. You execute and shape the aesthetic language, design system, and visual output across touchpoints and program phase outputs such as research, strategy, and UX, under a lead's guidance. You are developing your ability to drive day‑to‑day creative leadership within the team.
