Job Description

HCLTech is hiring a UI/UX Technical Architect to lead the technical side of UI and UX delivery for projects that move from early concept through final implementation. Based in San Francisco, CA (onsite), this role partners closely with designers, developers, and product teams to shape interfaces that feel intuitive and are grounded in sound frontend execution.

What you’ll do

  • Own the technical design and implementation of UI/UX projects from conception to delivery.
  • Work with cross-functional partners, including designers, developers, and product managers, to build intuitive interfaces.
  • Run technical reviews to spot design gaps, then recommend approaches to improve the overall user experience.
  • Create prototypes and wireframes to validate design concepts and functional requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and apply them to propose solutions for UI/UX challenges.
  • Provide guidance on frontend technologies, frameworks, and tooling to support efficient implementation of designs.
  • Assist with evaluating and selecting design tools and software to streamline the design process.

Core skills and qualifications

  • Proficiency in UI/UX design principles and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience using design tools including Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Ability to understand user needs and convert them into engaging design concepts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective work across cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving ability to identify design issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.

Certifications

  • UX Design Certification or relevant industry certifications are a plus.

Salary: USD 122,000 - 180,000 per year.
