UI / UX Designer

Hive, a San Francisco based company, is seeking a UI / UX Designer to own design across its product suite. This onsite role partners with product, engineering, and business teams to conceive, prototype, and deliver polished visuals and interactions throughout the entire product lifecycle. The position carries a salary range of USD 60,000–100,000 per year and requires at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects across the full product lifecycle and multiple product launches
• Collaborate with small, multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, product, and business to craft elegant yet practical design solutions
• Own your work autonomously and manage every detail from concept to delivery
• Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, balancing pixel-perfect detail with appropriate low-fidelity sketches
• Apply OWASP top 10 techniques to secure code against vulnerabilities
• Stay informed on industry best practices for data maintenance handling relevant to the role
• Adhere to policies, guidelines, and procedures for protecting information assets
• Report actual or suspected security or policy violations to the appropriate authority

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience designing consumer and mobile products
• Owned multiple consumer products and demonstrated ability to create strong, consumer-oriented experiences
• Proficient with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and/or Invision
• Bias toward action and execution with comfort in sketching concepts, tweaking flows, and polishing designs that reflect big ideas
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with product and engineering to bring product visions to life
• Commitment to refining design instincts through user feedback, whether via hands-on user research or designing options for A/B testing
• Online portfolio or PDF to share
