UI/UX Design Specialist

Ledgent Technology is supporting a connected-vehicle automotive brand with a leave coverage engagement focused on customer-facing digital products. In this 100% onsite role in Irvine, CA, you will design and review mobile app and web portal experiences, turning requirements into usable, consistent journeys while partnering closely with product and development teams.

Role summary

This contract UI/UX position centers on creating and validating user interfaces for connected digital experiences. You will work in Figma to develop wireframes, prototypes, and interactive concepts, then support design reviews and implementation/QA validation to ensure customer journeys deliver as intended.

Responsibilities

• Design user interfaces, customer journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and interactive experiences for connected digital products across mobile applications and web portals.
• Create new feature concepts and user experiences in Figma, focusing on intuitive, engaging interactions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective design solutions.
• Review designs and concepts from global teams, providing UI/UX recommendations centered on usability, functionality, customer experience, and design consistency.
• Maintain continuity of design standards, branding, tone, and user experience across customer touchpoints.
• Support implementation reviews, quality assurance testing, and validation of customer journeys to confirm delivery matches the design intent.
• Create and manage digital assets, templates, and supporting materials for cross-functional teams and customer communications.
• Contribute to customer experience strategy by serving as an additional review layer for customer-facing content and interactions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of UI/UX design experience supporting customer-facing digital products.
• Strong experience designing for both mobile applications and web-based experiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and UI design.
• Proven ability to build new features, workflows, and concepts from initial requirements through final design.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and differences between mobile and web user experiences.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Strong skills in visual design, communication, and problem-solving.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting global product initiatives and collaborating with international teams.

Compensation and logistics

• Location: Irvine, CA (onsite)
• Compensation: USD 34 - 37 per hourly
