UI/UX Specialist (Junior)

Summary

The role involves designing UI/UX deliverables for web and mobile applications while incorporating user feedback and maintaining design documentation. Responsibilities include supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborating with product managers, developers, government stakeholders, and other teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications
• Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, and prototypes
• Develop presentations, graphics, training materials, documentation, and other visual content
• Conduct user research and incorporate feedback into design decisions
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
• Ensure designs meet Section 508 accessibility requirements and responsive design requirements
• Maintain design documentation and user journeys
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, government stakeholders, and other teams
• Support Agile development and participate in Agile meetings
• Support working groups and stakeholder sessions

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• CI Polygraph recent or current
• Experienced UI/UX professional
• 5 years of professional experience
• 1–3 years of professional UI/UX design experience for web or mobile applications
• Experience creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows
• Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
• Knowledge of user-centered design, user research, information architecture, usability testing, and responsive design
• Experience creating professional presentations, graphics, and visual communication materials
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders
• DoD, Intelligence Community, or Federal Government experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, HCI, UX Design, Visual Communications, or a related field
