UI/UX Design Engineer
Job Description
StradIT is hiring a UI/UX Design Engineer in Tampa, FL to shape end-to-end user experiences and craft high-quality interfaces. This onsite role sits at the intersection of design, product, and engineering, with a focus on research-driven decisions, accessible experiences, and design validation through prototypes and reviews.
What you’ll do
- Lead user research through stakeholder interviews, usability assessments, and user feedback.
- Study user journeys, workflows, and pain points to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Produce UX strategy artifacts including personas, journey maps, information architecture, and task flows.
- Define end-to-end experiences aligned with business objectives.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Design intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces.
- Build and maintain design standards, style guides, and reusable design components, ensuring consistency across web and mobile.
- Collaborate across the product lifecycle with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support product discovery activities.
- Translate business requirements into design specifications for development teams and review implementations for adherence to approved designs.
- Run usability testing, analyze data and user behavior, and validate improvements through prototypes and testing.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging UX practices, advocating for inclusive, user-centered design.
- Support design reviews and quality assurance activities while promoting best practices for performance, usability, and customer experience.
- Ensure solutions comply with WCAG accessibility standards.
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of UI/UX design experience for enterprise web or mobile applications.
- A strong portfolio showing end-to-end UX and UI design.
- Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, and design systems.
- Solid understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and usability principles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Experience with user analytics and A/B testing.
