Technical Architect- User Interface

Join Tata Consultancy Services in Philadelphia, onsite, as a Technical Architect - User Interface. This role offers a salary range of $130,000 - $150,000 per year and the chance to shape enterprise UI architecture, build AI powered front-end platforms, and lead UI engineering practices across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide UI architecture and technical leadership for scalable, maintainable, and high performing enterprise front ends.
• Partner with fellow architects to shape the frontend strategy and reference architectures.
• Set UI architectural standards, coding guidelines, and reusable design patterns across teams.
• Make decisions that balance innovation, user experience, and long term maintainability.
• Mentor development teams on UI architecture, frameworks, and implementation best practices.
• Design AI augmented UI architectures aligned with enterprise standards and integrate LLMs and GenAI services into customer facing and internal tools.
• Develop AI driven design systems and intelligent component libraries and establish spec driven development workflows using AI to improve speed and quality.
• Lead the AI frontend platform strategy, including framework selection and governance.
• Collaborate with Data Science, ML Engineering, and Product teams to deliver intelligent, compliant, and scalable UI solutions.
• Coordinate with IT Delivery, Release Management, and project managers to resolve dependencies and ensure features in one project do not impact others.
• Drive system integration by defining interfaces and technical design specifications and documenting end-to-end data flow using established methodologies and tools.

Requirements

• Core UI and front end architecture experience delivering scalable, high performance solutions.
• 5+ years of hands on React experience building enterprise scale applications.
• 2+ years with Remix or Next.js, including SSR, routing, and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of UI architecture principles, component design, state management, and modular front end patterns.
• Proven track record delivering large scale, consumer facing web applications.
• Strong command of HTML, CSS, accessibility, browser performance, and security best practices.
• AI driven and intelligent UI skills, including integrating or developing with LLMs and Generative AI services in frontend or full stack environments.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and interaction design for AI powered interfaces.
• Experience architecting AI inference aware UI systems with latency sensitive rendering and streaming responses.
• Ability to design intelligent UI flows including conversational, adaptive, and personalized user journeys.
• Familiarity with AI safety, governance, and responsible AI considerations in customer facing apps.
• Experience building AI powered frontend systems including copilots, assistants, and AI driven design systems.
• Knowledge of AI based analytics and telemetry to track user behavior, performance, and AI effectiveness.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud based UI architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and automated quality gates.
• Working knowledge of Node.js for frontend platform enablement.
• Experience with Sitecore or headless CMS platforms is preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.
