The Role
Netflix is on a mission to entertain the world and redefine how stories are experienced. Beyond film and television, Netflix Games creates new categories of experiences that let members interact, engage, and play within the familiar Netflix environment.
The Netflix Games Product Design team seeks a visionary, systems-minded Staff Product Designer to define how members discover and engage with games, operating at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and craft. This role shapes not just individual experiences, but scalable frameworks and patterns across the platform, partnering with senior product, engineering, research, and design leaders to set direction.
This is a remote-friendly role within the United States, with a preference for the west coast, and requires onsite collaboration in Los Gatos and Los Angeles for meaningful teamwork.
About Netflix Games and our vision for discovery
The Netflix Games team aims to deliver games to millions across mobile, web, and TV. As games expand to televisions, discovery becomes critical for helping members find the right game at the right moment through smart merchandising, thoughtful design, and seamless cross-surface integration. This role will establish the strategic direction for how members discover, learn about, and fall in love with games on Netflix, while setting design foundations that scale the vision.
Even better if you have
- Strong familiarity with gaming, entertainment, or media merchandising design and a genuine passion for games.
- Experience building or evolving design systems at scale, with awareness of workflow, localization, and accessibility implications.
- Experience designing for TV specific interaction patterns such as remote navigation, focus management, and 10-foot UI.
- Proficiency with Figma and established design systems; experience with A/B testing and data-informed design is a plus.
- History of mentoring senior designers and shaping team culture, processes, and craft standards.
- Comfort operating autonomously and driving work forward with minimal direction.
Why you will love this role
- Autonomy to shape the future of games discovery at Netflix, not just execute on it.
- Collaborative culture with world-class designers, product leaders, and engineers on meaningful problems, with room to influence outcomes.
- Competitive compensation, flexible time off, and remote work options balanced with opportunities for in-person collaboration.
- Support for education and professional development in an inclusive environment where leadership is valued and work has real reach.
