Software Engineer, UI/UX
Job Description
ImmunityBio is building advanced AI applications, and this role focuses on turning complex workflows into clear, high-performing experiences across web and mobile. As a Software Engineer, UI/UX, you’ll bridge design and engineering by planning, building, and refining responsive interfaces that support user needs in real-world environments.
This position is based in Dunkirk, NY and is onsite. The salary range is USD 130,500 - 145,000 per year, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
What You’ll Do
- Design, prototype, and implement user interfaces for AI-driven web and mobile applications.
- Work with backend and infrastructure teams to support smooth API and data pipeline integration.
- Maintain a consistent design system across web environments (Next.js, Svelte, React) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
- Improve front-end performance while applying accessibility and responsive design practices.
- Run user testing and gather feedback to refine usability and visual design.
- Contribute to build, testing, and deployment architecture and tooling using Bun, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Stay current with emerging UI/UX and front-end trends, with a focus on AI, visualization, and interaction design.
- Create, edit, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), supporting process improvements, and standardization of templates.
- Complete ad-hoc and cross-functional duties or projects as assigned to support business needs and development opportunities.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (required).
- 3+ years of front-end development experience with strong proficiency in Next.js, Svelte, and React (required).
- Experience designing and shipping native iOS and Android applications, including React Native or native SDKs (required).
- Experience with design tools like Figma or Sketch and UI component libraries (preferred).

Working Environment
- Work location: Dunkirk, NY (onsite)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday within standard business hours, with flexibility available with manager approval
- Office environment requirements include mobility to use standard office equipment, including a computer
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 20 pounds
- Extensive use of computer keyboards and monitors is required
