Job Description

The UI/UX Software Developer at EverPeak Recruitment is responsible for creating and improving web and mobile applications in a collaborative hybrid environment. The role blends front-end engineering with UI/UX design contributions, API integration, and participation across the full software development lifecycle.

Role Overview

In this position, you will develop, maintain, test, and improve applications using React and React Native. The work includes supporting front-end architecture, contributing to user flows and UI/UX design, and integrating with RESTful APIs and other backend services. You will also help evaluate front-end technologies, tools, libraries, and development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop web and mobile applications using React and React Native
  • Build stable, scalable, and maintainable front-end code
  • Contribute to front-end architecture, user flows, and UI/UX design
  • Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and other backend services
  • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, peer review, and deployment
  • Troubleshoot and debug code, data, and system issues
  • Evaluate front-end technologies, tools, libraries, and development practices
  • Collaborate with internal and third-party development and infrastructure teams
  • Follow established security and confidentiality practices

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1–3 years of relevant software development experience
  • Hands-on experience with React and modern front-end development
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative hybrid environment with regular onsite interaction
  • Hybrid role based in the Albany Capital Region with regular onsite work in Troy, NY; candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance and be able to report onsite as needed
  • Must already be authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship

  • Understanding of Responsive Web Design (RWD)
  • Experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs and/or WebSockets
  • Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts through wireframes, prototypes, proof-of-concepts, or whiteboarding
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation and Location

Location: Troy, NY (hybrid). Salary: USD 65,000 - 85,000 per year. Minimum experience: 1 year.
