Senior Staff Product Designer - Shared Experiences

Intuit is seeking a Senior Staff Product Designer to lead cross-domain experience strategy and raise interaction and visual quality across multiple QuickBooks product areas. In this role, you will shape long-term direction, reduce fragmentation, and connect design investments to measurable customer and business outcomes.

As a Senior Staff Product Designer, you will drive cross-domain experience strategy, identify systemic opportunities, establish guiding principles, and align senior stakeholders around cohesive experience direction. The focus is on long-term strategy, improving team alignment, and ensuring design meaningfully contributes to business impact.

• Identify high-leverage opportunity spaces and systemic friction
• Establish principles and frameworks that guide cross-team decisions
• Align senior Product and Engineering leaders around cohesive strategy
• Elevate interaction and visual quality across domains
• Strengthen and evolve shared design standards and interaction models
• Reduce fragmentation and design debt across product surfaces
• Balance experimentation with long-term clarity and trust
• Lead large, ambiguous explorations that span teams
• Use analytics and research to identify strategic opportunities
• Connect design investments to measurable customer and business outcomes
• Partner closely with Engineering and Data Science to shape scalable architecture
• Drive thoughtful AI-assisted and AI-native experience patterns across domains
• Communicate cross-domain design strategy clearly to senior stakeholders
• Influence decision-making beyond your immediate teams
• Lead large cross-functional initiatives requiring alignment across organizations
• Mentor Staff and Senior Designers to elevate systems thinking
• Strengthen design practices, processes, and quality standards across teams

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing large-scale digital products
• Experience shaping cross-domain design strategy
• Strong systems thinking and strategic judgment
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Portfolio demonstrating both craft excellence and strategic impact

Location and Compensation

• Location: Mountain View, CA (onsite)
• Compensation: USD 203,000 - 274,500 per year
