Senior Product Designer (Growth)
Job Description
Lead a growth-focused product design effort at EarnIn, shaping member acquisition, onboarding, referrals, and winbacks through rapid experimentation and AI-assisted prototyping.
Responsibilities
- Translate business hypotheses into distinct solution directions, exploring options independently for multiple growth squads
- Iterate designs based on data and refine recommendations as evidence evolves
- Bring clear recommendations to the team, explain reasoning, and incorporate feedback to drive decisions
- Design with measurable outcomes: define the hypothesis, the metric it should move, and the member flows used today
- Ship the fastest credible test of an idea and push it through blockers to launch with product, engineering, data, legal, and brand partners
- Maintain high design quality while moving quickly toward validated learnings
- Review experiment results, learn from losing tests, and update your understanding of members to inform new experiences
- Build working prototypes using AI tools to answer UX questions and compare alternative approaches
- Use static screens only when they are sufficient for the question at hand
- Develop and document your own design playbook with AI-assisted ways of working, then share what works with the design team
- Ensure experiences are clear and honest, supporting member trust
Requirements
- 4+ years designing consumer digital products
- Portfolio demonstrating how you framed problems, explored directions, and measured outcomes your work moved
- Recent work that shows how you use AI in your process
- Experience on a growth or experimentation team, including designing test variants, reading results, and iterating after learning from losses
- Strong product sense and behavioral empathy to form hypotheses about member behavior even when reasons are not obvious
- Detail-oriented craftsmanship focused on what determines whether a design works
- Bias for action with judgment, prioritizing valid tests over designs that do not test the hypothesis
- Comfort with ambiguity and energy for open-ended problems
- Daily use of AI tools in design work, such as Claude, Cursor, or v0, and/or a method you built or adopted to work faster or better
- Working prototypes as a normal output, plus curiosity about the technical skills that make you a stronger designer (no engineering background required)
- Critical judgment of AI output to stay accountable for result quality
- Nice to have: front-end coding experience
- Nice to have: conversion design for landing pages and onboarding
- Nice to have: experience in fintech or another regulated industry
Role focus
- Growth owns product areas that bring members in and bring them back: acquisition, onboarding, referrals, and winbacks
- Most initiatives begin as business bets with no spec and no known solution
- Explore solutions quickly and respond to counterintuitive data
- AI is a core part of how you will work
