Job Description

RapidAI is looking for a Senior Product Designer who can take complex, time-sensitive healthcare workflows and turn them into reliable mobile and desktop experiences for clinicians and care teams. In this hands-on role, you will pair user-centered design with systems thinking, translating deep data and AI model outputs into interfaces built to perform under pressure.

What you’ll do

  • Own the end-to-end design process for products across mobile (iOS, iPadOS, Android), web, and native desktop applications.
  • Design intuitive, high-stakes experiences that make complex clinical data and AI model outputs usable and dependable.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using AI tools and advanced prototyping methods.
  • Maintain and expand the RapidAI design system and Figma component libraries to support consistent cross-platform design.
  • Lead user research with healthcare professionals to build empathy for time-sensitive clinical workflows.
  • Run interviews, observational studies, and usability testing, then translate findings into actionable design strategy.
  • Travel occasionally (up to 20%) to meet clinicians in healthcare settings and validate design decisions on-site.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Clinical AI/ML teams from strategy through deployment.
  • Operate with high autonomy in day-to-day design decisions, while knowing when to align with design leadership.
  • Communicate design rationale clearly across technical, clinical, and executive audiences.

What you bring

  • 6+ years of Product/UX Design experience shipping end-to-end products across web, mobile, and native desktop; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • A strong portfolio showing systems thinking, a clear design process, and solutions for complex, high-stakes user problems (healthcare or complex enterprise experience preferred).
  • Experience planning, running, and synthesizing user research with technical or clinical domain experts to inform product decisions.
  • Deep expertise in Figma and modern research tools, with a track record of contributing to shared design component libraries.
  • Comfort working near engineering and using platform constraints effectively, plus working knowledge of AI tools to accelerate exploration without sacrificing quality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for articulating design rationale and building alignment with clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders.
  • Self-directed approach suited to fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across global time zones.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
