Senior Manager, User Interface/User Experience
Job Description
Salesforce is seeking a Senior Manager of User Interface and User Experience to guide the design for Automation Services and Flow Builder, with a strong emphasis on AI powered automation, scalable design standards, and cross functional leadership. This onsite role in San Francisco blends strategic direction with hands on mentorship to help designers thrive within a rapidly evolving platform. The compensation range for this position is USD 172,500 to 285,800 per year.
Responsibilities
- Foster wellbeing and psychological safety, manage day to day prioritization, and create space for designers to learn, grow, and perform at their best.
- Lead and grow a high impact UX team building AI powered, cross platform automation experiences, with a focus on Flow Builder and the Automation Services platform.
- Define and uphold design standards to minimize redundant interface work, and scale accessibility, quality, and consistency through shared systems, critique, and documentation.
- Drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement across the Automation Services portfolio, using research, data, and experimentation to align user centered solutions with business goals and long term strategy.
Requirements
- 6+ years of design leadership experience, with a track record of hiring, coaching, and developing high performing Product Designers within automation or AI platform domains.
- Own the design quality bar for a product area and elevate craft across a team, balancing the needs of both novice and expert users.
- Influence product and function level roadmaps by surfacing insights and clarifying ambiguity, shaping priorities alongside Product and Engineering leadership.
- Active use of AI tools in your own practice and ability to guide a team through AI native workflows, including agent design, persona development, and evaluating AI generated prototypes and documentation.
- Background in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Front-End Development, or equivalent practical experience.
