Retirement & Wealth - Sr. Product Designer

Inspira Financial Trust, LLC is building digital experiences for Retirement & Wealth, and the Senior Product Designer will play a central role in shaping how users move through these products. This remote Oak Brook, IL position blends UX research, user-centered design, and modern AI-assisted workflows to deliver intuitive, engaging experiences from discovery through delivery.

Working with Product, Engineering, Content Design, QA, and business stakeholders, you will help align user needs with business objectives while strengthening design-development handoff practices. The role also focuses on consistency across the product portfolio and the continued evolution of scalable design systems that support efficient, accurate implementation.

What you’ll do

• Lead product design initiatives end-to-end, applying user-centered design principles and strategic design thinking from discovery through delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Content Design, QA, and business stakeholders to understand user needs, shape business objectives, and improve handoff practices.
• Conduct and incorporate user research, feedback, and data insights to inform design decisions, with a focus on discovery practices that reduce downstream rework.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate product concepts and solutions.
• Use AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and design execution while preserving craft quality and human-centered judgment.
• Work within Agile environments, including Design Sprints and Scrum teams.
• Maintain a consistent, cohesive user experience across products while staying aligned with company branding standards.
• Evolve and maintain scalable design systems, component libraries, and documentation in Storybook (or equivalent) to drive consistency, efficiency, and clear design-to-dev translation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Product Design, UX Design, UI Design, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing digital products using user-centered design methodologies.
• Experience conducting and synthesizing user research and usability testing sessions with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience working with scalable design systems, component libraries, and design-to-development workflows (such as Storybook, Figma libraries, and design tokens).
• Familiarity with leveraging AI design tools to improve design velocity and exploration.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma, including prototyping, auto-layout, and component architecture.
• Ability to translate complex problems into simple, intuitive user experiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic, systems-thinking mindset.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to tell compelling stories that influence roadmap and build credibility across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute usability tests, synthesize findings into actionable recommendations, and socialize results with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Content, and QA partners, influencing outcomes without direct authority.

Compensation and benefits

• Compensation: $100,200 to $130,000 per year.
