Product Designer, Senior Associate
Job Description
Capital One is seeking a Senior Associate Product Designer for an onsite role in McLean, VA, to blend interaction, visual and service design into human-centered solutions that align with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Apply your craft and a deep understanding of customers and business context to co-create innovative solutions for complex problems.
- Product Design Mastery: Employ a broad product design toolkit across interaction, visual and service design; partner with cross-functional teams to raise design maturity and generate artifacts such as journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs and prototypes using design systems.
- Human-Centered: Ground decisions in data and research insights, applying creative problem solving to keep customer needs at the forefront.
- Business-Focused: Understand the product, processes and partner goals to bridge gaps between customer-centered solutions and business objectives.
- Problem-Solving: Collaborate with teammates and partners to gather feedback, assess technology and data capabilities, and evaluate emerging technologies to inform work and navigate constraints.
- Collaboration: Cultivate relationships with cross-functional partners and continuously identify opportunities to work together, incorporating diverse perspectives to elevate outcomes and build trust.
- Communication: Present design work to diverse audiences with a human-centered approach, backing decisions with meaningful evidence and clear reasoning.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio that demonstrates process, results and impact.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a Product Design role.
- At least 2 years of experience using design and prototyping tools, including Figma.
- Experience working with an established design system.
- Experience collaborating with product, tech and business partners.
- Experience working in heavily regulated, data heavy problem spaces.

Role Expectations
