Capital One is hiring a Product Designer to join its Experience Design team and co-create solutions to complex, real-world problems.

Combine craft strength with a grounded understanding of customers and the business to co-create innovative solutions to complex problems
Use deep product design expertise across interaction, visual, and service design to raise the quality and maturity of the design practice at Capital One
Partner with cross-functional teams to apply appropriate tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems
Create design artifacts such as journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes
Champion the customer throughout the design process using critical thinking across data, research insights, scalability, technology constraints, and feedback
Apply business and customer strategy; facilitate design process activities with team and partners while aligning customer needs with business goals
Build awareness of technology and data capabilities, including emerging technologies, to inform work and identify new opportunities while navigating technical limitations
Develop partner relationships and expand your network by listening to diverse perspectives and collaborating with an informed approach to drive alignment and reduce silos
Present work to varied audiences across levels and job functions, integrating design frameworks with data and research insights to communicate decisions and impact

At least 3 years of experience in a Product Design role
At least 3 years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma

At least 4 years of experience in a Product Design role
At least 4 years of experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma
At least 4 years of experience collaborating with product, tech, and business partners
At least 4 years of experience working with an established design system
Experience in heavily regulated, data heavy problem spaces

USD 143,200 - 163,500 per year for New York, NY (Principal Associate, Design)
McLean, VA: $131,300 - $149,800 for Pr. Associate, Design
Richmond, VA: $119,400 - $136,200 for Pr. Associate, Design
Final offered annualized salary is reflected in the candidate’s offer letter based on the applicable location pay range

Eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives
Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan
