Product Designer
Job Description
Sola Insurance is seeking a Product Designer in Atlanta, GA to shape product interface design across agent tools, policyholder experiences, and internal platforms. This onsite role focuses on delivering clear, intuitive UI while partnering with product and engineering from discovery through implementation.
Role Summary
As the Product Designer, you will own end-to-end user flows and help ensure design quality as Sola’s platform grows. You will contribute to the design system and shared UI patterns, using research, testing, and product metrics to guide continuous improvement across multiple product surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship clear, intuitive product interfaces across multiple user types
- Own end-to-end user flows from concept through implementation
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Use research, testing, and product metrics to inform and improve designs
- Contribute to and evolve Sola’s design system and shared UI patterns
- Maintain a high standard of interface quality across visual design, interaction design, and usability
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an in-house product designer working on shipped products
- Portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking and interface design, with emphasis on simplifying complex systems
- Ability to design across levels of fidelity, from high-level flows to detailed interactions
- Structured approach to design using research, principles, and clear rationale
- Experience collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and designers
- Understanding of how design supports adoption, usability, and long-term product quality
- Clear communication and strong presentation of your work
- Strong visual and interface design skills focused on hierarchy, clarity, and consistency
- Experience designing complex, data-driven products or interfaces with multiple user types
- Experience contributing to or evolving a design system across multiple product surfaces
- Strong collaboration with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, maintainable, and consistent
- Familiarity with accessibility and responsive design best practices
- Experience using modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma or similar
- Experience creating prototypes using code or code-adjacent tools such as Cursor, Framer, React, or similar to validate complex interactions
