Mid-Level UI/UX Designer

Join PeopleTec, Inc. in Huntsville, AL (onsite) as a Mid-Level UI/UX Designer. This role supports the team by driving visual design and user experience work across development efforts, with a focus on usability testing, accessibility compliance (Section 508), and responsive design aligned to current best practices.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with development teams to create mock-ups of intuitive interfaces and oversee end-to-end visual design efforts.
• Partner across case management development teams to maintain a consistent look and feel.
• Gather and review UX feedback, then adjust designs based on findings.
• Work with users to understand use cases and research user needs, including potential system enhancements.
• Update and maintain style guides and define, create, communicate, and manage resource plans and required project documentation.
• Ensure designs are 508 compliant in coordination with development teams.
• Support development teams with responsive designs using current best practices.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes for easy-to-navigate UIs, including web pages with graphics, icons, and color schemes.
• Plan, recruit, and facilitate usability testing; analyze and synthesize results to recommend system changes.
• Guide, mentor, and coach team members while leading projects to successful completion.
• Build relationships with key peers across Marketing, Branding, UX leaders, IT leaders, and others to identify and plan creative solutions.
• Manage external service resources and budgets for visual design.
• Ensure successful delivery of team work on time, on budget, and with quality.
• Support compliance with project management methodologies and Project Management Office processes and standards.
• Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance of application release management, outage management, and change control processes and standards.
• Maintain familiarity with coding and web application implementation activities, including the ability to code, test, debug documents, and implement web applications on a variety of platforms.

What you bring

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required
• Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire and be able to maintain it during employment
• BS or B.A. Degree
