Graphic + Web Designer

The United Group of Companies, Inc is seeking a full-time Graphic and Web Designer to create marketing collateral, design websites and landing pages, uphold design systems, and perform basic front-end, SEO, and accessibility tasks from our Troy, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality collateral and marketing materials for print and digital use
• Design a range of materials suitable for both print applications and digital channels
• Conceptualize and craft websites and landing pages, delivering visually appealing, user-friendly layouts and visuals such as icons and banners that align with branding
• Maintain visual consistency by establishing and upholding design guidelines, style guides, and standards across all web pages and assets
• Perform basic front-end implementation using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to convert designs into functional web pages
• Incorporate SEO best practices and adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG) in design work
• Stay current with design trends, techniques, software, and technologies to keep sites modern and competitive
• Manage multiple projects concurrently
• Oversee print production using on-site equipment and coordinate related processes
• Order print production materials as needed, including paper, toner, and supplies
• Coordinate timely and cost-effective shipping of materials
• Communicate effectively with internal staff and stakeholders
• Participate in meetings with management and contribute to goals for continual improvement

Requirements

• Position type: Graphic and Web Designer; Hourly, $25 - $26 per hour
• Work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Physical requirements: ability to sit for long periods and travel as needed
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design or a related field
• Portfolio: required; must reflect Graphic and Web Design capabilities
• Proven experience in design production using Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, and printing interfaces
• Experience building entire websites with Wix, HubSpot, WordPress, or similar platforms
• Understanding of raster versus vector graphics
• Knowledge of RGB versus CMYK color spaces
• Knowledge of web graphics and multi-page document design
• General familiarity with AI and modern technologies to drive marketing and sales innovation
• Professional image compatible with United Group; positive attitude, energetic, and assertive
• Demonstrates integrity and strong work ethic with excellent verbal and written communication
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong ownership
