Graphic Design Specialist

Young Signs is hiring a Graphic Design Specialist onsite in Ashland, KY to support the graphics team with design and production-ready output.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine your own graphic designs
• Work with corporate logos
• Follow instructions and complete tasks as directed
• Maintain a professional, customer-friendly approach when working with the public
• Use simple tools such as a tape measure, exacto blades, rulers, etc.
• Learn production workflows involving printers, plotters, laminators, and related equipment
• Handle assigned work both independently and as part of a team
• Work in a high-energy environment, meet deadlines, and stay flexible with job duties
• Work hands-on with vinyl, including out-of-shop installs

Requirements

• Graphic design experience (necessary)
• Vinyl or sign shop experience (huge plus)
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Creative mindset
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work well with the public and customers
• Clean, outgoing work style; sign shop experience preferred or on-the-job training for those ready to learn the trade
• Comfort working with simple tools (tape measure, exacto blades, rulers, etc.) and learning printer, plotter, and laminator workflows
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting
• Capability to work in a high-energy environment, meet deadlines, and remain flexible with job duties
• Willing and able to work hands-on with vinyl, including out-of-shop installs
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime
