Based in New York City, this onsite role offers a USD 250,000 - 300,000 annual compensation and the opportunity to shape the agency’s creative direction across Heartbeat and Publicis Health. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor talent, and collaborate with senior leadership to elevate visual storytelling, brand consistency, and strategic impact. Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, you will anchor creative excellence in a high-performance culture and influence both the craft and the business side of pharmaceutical and consumer campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Provide creative leadership and uphold high standards in visual storytelling, concepting, and brand consistency across campaigns; guide a cross-disciplinary team including art directors, copywriters, designers, and other specialists while advancing the agency’s creative vision.
  • Partner with leadership and clients to develop creative strategies that advance brand objectives and drive growth for pharmaceutical brands.
  • Bring thoughtful, fresh, and strategic ideas to new business opportunities, tailoring approaches to each brand opportunity.
  • Mentor, develop, and empower creative staff while fostering an environment that encourages innovation, professional growth, and collaboration.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, presenting concepts and ensuring their vision is realized while upholding agency standards.
  • Oversee allocation of creative resources, budgeting for projects, and management of freelance or external partners as needed.
  • Contribute to Heartbeat’s and Publicis Health’s thought leadership, energizing teams with current advertising trends and innovations.

Requirements

  • BA in Art, Design, Writing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of creative leadership experience, including at least 5 years in pharmaceutical advertising or healthcare communications.
  • Exceptional portfolio demonstrating integrated campaigns for pharmaceutical and traditional consumer brands.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, medical communications, and ethical advertising standards.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage multidisciplinary creative teams.
  • Strong knowledge and curiosity around technology and GenAI practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for creativity and innovation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
