DataAnnotation is hiring an experienced E-Commerce Web Designer - AI Trainer to evaluate how frontier AI models perform on visual design tasks.

Create challenging, realistic design briefs using your professional expertise
Test those briefs in frontier AI design tools and assess results against the standards you would apply to a colleague
Compare two model versions using identical prompts and assets, then determine which performs better and document where each version falls short
Review and critique AI-generated work across interfaces, mockups, layouts, slides, infographics, illustrations, and motion
Report concrete failures with evidence, including:
- Alignment and spacing issues
- Content overflow and cutoff
- Typography problems
- Weak or incorrect visual hierarchy
- SVG and illustration quality gaps
- Ignored assets
- Off-brief interpretations
Contribute across software and interactive work, office and presentation design, technical illustration, graphic design, and new media

Fluency in English at native or bilingual level
Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design
Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, interaction design, and user flow
Ability to explain why a design fails, not only identify that it fails
Comfort working with AI design tools, or ability to learn them quickly
A current, in progress, or completed Bachelor’s is preferred (not required)
