Creative Director
Job Description
Bumble Inc. is seeking a Creative Director to lead its Creative Studio from New York, NY, onsite. This role partners with the CEO/Founder, CMO and marketing leadership to translate strategy into bold, brand-aligned creative across multiple markets, while guiding a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality campaigns on time.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire creative function to ensure consistency with brand strategy
- Translate high level ideas into clear, bold, executable creative strategies that move the funnel
- Steward brand identity and guidelines across multiple markets
- Challenge briefs and proactively drive creative work forward, bringing diverse stakeholders along
- Partner with the CEO to brainstorm and elevate ideation into impactful executions
- Lead by example with hands-on contribution and thorough review of teammates’ work
- Collaborate with internal teams and agency resources to produce high-quality creative aligned with goals and timelines
- Oversee creative projects supporting marketing, partnerships, experiential, and digital activations to drive growth
- Guide creative work from ideation to production, ensuring deliverables, timelines and budgets are met
- Mentor and develop team members to perform at a high level and grow professionally
- Remain adaptable as Bumble evolves and champion innovation across the team
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of creative experience, with a design background and strong craft plus conceptual strength
- Proven leadership with high emotional intelligence to inspire and manage teams in dynamic settings
- Excellent verbal and written communication; confident presenting creative decisions to stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Fluent across the full design process—from research through strategy to implementation—and capable of guiding teams through it
- Experience introducing new tools, processes, workflows or technologies to improve output
- Advanced command of Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma; openness to emerging tools and AI to boost efficiency
- Solid knowledge of motion principles and best practices
- Strong understanding of digital, video, social and content spaces
- Track record of delivering impactful creative on time and within budget
- Ability to work cross-functionally across departments and time zones
- Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving, creatively demanding environment
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and schedules
- Deep understanding and love of popular culture
- Strong working knowledge of design and copy with a strategic and operational foundation

Compensation
Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, skill set, and other job-related considerations. Salary range for this role is USD 155,000 - 185,000 per year. Location is New York, NY (onsite).
