The Associate Creative Director, Copy provides strategic and creative leadership for copy across designated brands and campaigns, shaping voice and messaging and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver brand-aligned content for healthcare advertising.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary owner and creative lead for copy across designated brands and campaigns.
- Collaborate with art directors on brand development and concepting to ensure cohesive storytelling across visuals and copy.
- Drive the creation of both long-form and short-form content while upholding brand voice, consistency, and regulatory compliance (MLR).
- Work with UX, Technology, and CX teams to align content with user experience and platform specifications.
- Offer strategic guidance and creative leadership in client discussions and presentations.
- Engage in market research and message testing to refine promotional copy.
- Mentor and supervise copywriters, promoting creativity and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communications, English, journalism, or related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in an agency setting, with at least 6 years in pharmaceutical copy leadership.
- Exceptional copywriting, storytelling, and communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and mentor creative talent.
- Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to translate abstract ideas into engaging narratives.
- Deep familiarity with social platforms (X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) and emerging cultural trends.
- Experience navigating regulatory processes and medical/legal review (MLR).
- Ability to quickly grasp complex medical and technical content and translate it into clear messaging.
