The Visual Design Manager at Accenture Song leads the visual design direction across engagements, shaping brand systems and design outputs while contributing to client delivery, business development, and people and practice growth.
Responsibilities
- Steer the visual design direction on engagements from concept to delivery, ensuring design quality, cohesive aesthetics, and adherence to timelines.
- Translate abstract briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages as a conceptual thinker.
- Establish and defend a high standard of visual craft, guiding brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences.
- Balance vision with hands-on work, defining creative direction while remaining closely involved in producing high quality outputs with the team.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, modeling how these capabilities augment creative thinking without replacing it.
- Serve as a leading creative voice in client discussions, translating visual rationale into strategic narratives that navigate complex decisions.
- Document the impact of AI on design workflows, measuring delivery quality and team performance to evolve the practice.
- Contribute to proposals, develop case studies from work, and translate project learnings into thought leadership that highlights visual design capabilities.
- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts, collaborating with account leads to present compelling visions around brand, design systems, or experiences.
- Manage, mentor, and support team members, fostering growth in visual craft, creative confidence, and independent practice.
- Participate actively in the Visual Design craft, sharing methods, references, and outcomes to advance the discipline.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Visual Design across multiple industries, brand types, platforms, and contexts.
- 4+ years leading visual design engagements end-to-end, from concept through production-ready delivery.
- 4+ years directing the creation of brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a cohesive visual voice.
- 4+ years producing high-fidelity visuals with meticulous attention to detail and developer-ready specifications.
- 3+ years directly managing or coaching visual designers, helping contributors grow into stronger practitioners.
- 3+ years working in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, PMs, engineers, and strategists.
- 3+ years delivering high-caliber visual design at scale, solving complex challenges and driving measurable impact.
- 3+ years making informed visual design decisions with a strong UX understanding to guide users intuitively.
- 3+ years contributing to scalable design systems that ensure consistency across products and channels.
- 3+ years embedding AI tools and workflows from concepting to rapid iteration and modeling AI-enabled work practices.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design, and related motion/illustration tools.
- 3+ years facilitating sessions and presenting visual strategy to senior client stakeholders, guiding decisions under pressure.
