Visual Design Manager
Job Description
In Accenture Song’s Design & Digital Products practice, this role focuses on shaping visual design direction across client delivery, business development, and people and practice development. You will bring high-craft leadership to complex engagements, translating brand and audience inputs into visual languages that hold up under real delivery timelines, with AI-enabled workflows supporting the work.
Location: Cleveland, OH (onsite). Salary range: USD 87,400 to 266,300 per year. Experience: 7+ years.
What you’ll do
- Lead visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, with accountability for design quality, aesthetic cohesion, and timeline adherence.
- Translate abstract briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages.
- Set and defend a high visual craft standard while directing the creation of brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences.
- Balance visionary guidance with hands-on involvement by defining creative direction, shaping key design decisions, and producing high-quality output alongside your team.
- Use AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, and demonstrate how these tools enhance creative thinking rather than replace it.
- Serve as a leading creative voice in client discussions, sharing your visual perspective and turning design rationale into strategic narratives for high-stakes decisions.
- Document how AI changes visual design workflows, and quantify impact on delivery quality and team performance to evolve practice ways of working.
- Contribute to proposals, create case studies, and translate project learnings into thought leadership that highlights visual design capabilities.
- Identify and shape new creative opportunities with existing clients, partnering with account leads to build a strong point of view around brand, design system, or experience challenges.
- Manage, support, and mentor team members in day-to-day work, helping develop visual craft, creative confidence, and independence.
- Act as a consistent member of the Visual Design craft by sharing methods, creative references, and project outcomes that contribute to the discipline.
What you bring
- 7+ years of experience in Visual Design across a range of industries, brand types, platforms, and visual contexts.
- 4+ years leading visual design engagements end-to-end, from creative concepting and visual strategy through to production-ready delivery.
- 4+ years directing the creation of brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a consistent and strong visual voice.
- 4+ years producing and directing high-fidelity visual work with exceptional detail, including pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specifications.
- 3+ years directly managing or coaching visual designers, with demonstrated ability to strengthen contributors into more independent practitioners.
- 3+ years working in agile and cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists.
- 3+ years delivering high-caliber visual design work that has shipped at scale, solved complex product or brand problems, and driven measurable impact.
- Experience making ground-level visual decisions with a deep understanding of UX, ensuring work looks right and functions well for intuitive user guidance.
- Experience building and contributing to scalable design systems to maintain visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
- Experience embedding AI tools and workflows into practice, including concept generation, mood-boarding, and rapid iteration.
- Recent hands-on experience using tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
- Facilitation skills and creative presence, including presenting visual strategy and design rationale to senior client stakeholders and guiding decisions under pressure.
