Visual Design Lead - Forge

Based onsite in Washington, DC, this Visual Design Lead role oversees a design team focused on visuals, brand identities, and design systems for Accenture Federal Services Go-to-market campaigns and The Forge, employing AI-assisted workflows with tools like Figma and the Adobe Creative Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Direct a design team to produce compelling content-driven visuals and illustration assets across multiple screen sizes and surfaces.
• Define the visual tone, mood systems, and design language for go-to-market deliverables.
• Mentor junior designers, review work for quality, and manage design timelines.
• Present creative concepts to agency stakeholders with clear rationale on how visuals support strategic objectives.
• Develop high-level concepts, storyboards, original illustrations, and scalable design systems.
• Integrate generative AI tools, such as Adobe Firefly, into the creative process to optimize workflows.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continually enhance design quality and impact.
• Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing products or services.
• Experience leading the design process and managing design teams.
• Strong ability to address complex product design problems and deliver strategic, best-in-class solutions.
• Proven skill in synthesizing findings and articulating design rationale to stakeholders.
• Capability to work iteratively and collaborate on initial concepts, visual design, and prototypes.
• Advanced proficiency with Creative tools including Figma and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, XD, After Effects).
• Experience applying AI throughout the design workflow and using AI code-generation tools to rapidly prototype and deploy production-ready designs.
• Motion design and UX/UI experience is a plus.
