Visual Design Lead

VulcanForms is seeking a hands-on Visual Design Lead to shape and scale the brand visual system across digital and physical touchpoints from a remote location.

Responsibilities

• Steer the overall visual direction and design language for the VulcanForms brand across digital channels, including social, and physical touchpoints.
• Develop and uphold typography, color, layout systems, iconography, motion, photography, and the broader visual identity guidelines.
• Create high quality visuals for website pages, campaigns, technical diagrams, workflow illustrations, and strategic presentations.
• Collaborate with leadership, sales, engineering, and product teams to translate intricate processes into clear visuals and accurate content.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop assets for product launches, customer programs, trade shows, investor communications, and external storytelling.
• Participate in design reviews and offer concise, constructive feedback to colleagues.
• Maintain visual consistency and brand alignment across all materials.
• Keep up with design, motion, and visualization trends that enhance technical storytelling.

Requirements

• Minimum six years of professional design experience in complex or technical sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, digital product design, or equivalent experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual design, including layout, typography, hierarchy, color, and iconography.
• Experience supporting trade shows, environmental graphics, or physical installations.
• Experience developing or extending visual design systems and brand guidelines.
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accurate visuals without oversimplifying.
• Comfort collaborating with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a collaborative approach.

Job Purpose

Role overview: A hands-on Visual Design Lead who can elevate the VulcanForms brand across every touchpoint. This position defines and evolves the visual system, supports major product and commercial initiatives, and shapes how customers, partners, investors, and potential employees perceive the company. You will work with sales, product, engineering, and executive leadership to maintain a consistent, high‑quality visual identity across web, presentations, product marketing, system diagrams, environmental design, and large scale campaigns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in advanced manufacturing, 3D printing, and industrial design.
• Experience creating technical diagrams, process visuals, and data‑driven graphics.
• Motion design or 3D proficiency for high fidelity product storytelling.
• Experience mentoring other creatives.
